Tri-Valley Downs Clinton

Tri-Valley shut the Clinton Maroons down in the second and third quarters and the Vikings rolled to a 43-20 win Tuesday night in non-conference high school boys basketball action in Downs.

 

With the score tied at 11 after one quarter, the Vikings opened up a 25-14 advantage at the break and led 35-16 after three quarters.

 

Zeke Hickman and Ty Brennan scored six points apiece to lead the Maroons. Clayton Welch added four points and Tyrese Petty chipped in with three points. 

 

Braden Zenor scored 10 points to lead Tri-Valley. Jack Moore added eight points, Dylan Connor scored seven points while TJ Norman had six points in a balanced attack for for the Vikings.

 

Coach Clay Haurberg credits his team for a fast start but says they did not crash the boards the rest of the way and struggled offensively, which he called a bad combination. 

 

Tri-Valley improves to 1-1 overall while the Maroons drop to 2-3.
