UPDATE: Lady Maroons fall to A&M; Lose Starting Forward

As heard on WHOW, the Clinton Lady Maroons fell to the Central A&M Lady Raiders by a score of 46-43 on Thursday night in Central Illinois Conference play. 

 

The Lady Maroons were led by sophomore Mallory Cyrulik with 16 points. Sophomore Kaitlyn Rauch added 13.  Destiny Schlesinger and Kylie Raymer each scored seven points in the loss.

 

In addition to the tough loss, the Lady Maroons also lost Junior forward Kaile Beck for 4 to 6 weeks with a broken wrist.  Beck dove for a loose ball, and collided with the padded brick wall under the basket in the second quarter.  

 

Central A&M was led by Mikayla Denton with 14 points.  A&M senior, Channing Reed, was held to 6 points.

 

With the loss, the Lady Maroons fall to 5-5 on the season and 0-2 in the CIC. Central A&M improves to 10-3 overall and 2-0 in conference play.

 

Clinton has a quick turnaround with a matchup at Pana Saturday afternoon.
