Monticello Cruises to Win Over Greenville

Brigg Fultz first career double-double helped Monticello to their second double-digit victory, a 56-35 win over Greenville at the Comets Quad Saturday night in non-conference high school boys basketball action.

 

The Sages beat Staunton earlier in the day 44-26 and moved a game over-500 heading into Holiday Hoopla action next week.

 

Fultz scored 14 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Ryan Reeder added 11 points. Garrett Kepley scored nine points and Ethan Miller added eight.

 

Monticello dished out 13 assists to 12 turnovers committed. 

 

The Sages again dominated points in the paint, 42-12 and controlled the boards, 36-12 and turned 15 offensive rebounds in 13 second chance points. 

 

The Sages return home for the annual Holiday Hoopla 4-3 overall and on a four-game winning streak. They’ll take on Oakwood to open Hoopla action at 11:30 am next Thursday and then GCMS in the nightcap at 7:30 pm.
