The Ridgeview Mustangs jumped early on the Clinton Maroons and cruised to a 66-48 win from the first day of Holiday Hoopla action at Monticello High School in high school boys basketball action.

Ridgeview turned the Maroons over 15 times resulting in 24 points. The Maroons did dish out 11 assists on their 21 field goals.

The Mustangs shot 60-percent from the floor in the first half opening up a 33-21 lead and led 53-34 after three quarters.

Tyrese Petty scored 12 points to carry Clinton and Zeke Hickman added 11 points and grabbed six rebounds. Skyler Williamson chipped in with nine points and Clayton Welch scored eight points and grabbed six boards.

Reece Ramirez led the Mustangs with a game-high 18 points. Garrett Stevens added 12 points and Levi Zimmerman finished with 11 points. 

Ridgeview controlled the glass 36-31 and turned 16 offensive rebounds to 12 second chance points. 

The Mustangs improve to 9-1 overall while Clinton drops to 4-9. The Maroons will take on Paxton-Buckley-Loda at 11:30 am tomorrow afternoon then they will take on Neoga at 6 pm.
