The Monticello girls basketball team could muster only 12 total second-half points as their bid for a Holiday Hoopla Championship fell short against Ridgeview in a 51-32 loss from Monticello Hig School.
The Lady Sages and Lady Mustangs were knotted at 20 at the half but Ridgeview turned the tables in the second half outscoring Monticello 31-12.
Olivia Swanson scored 11 points to lead the Lady Sages and Hannah Swanson added ten.
Syndey Tungate led Ridgeview with a game-high 20 points and Kelly Jones added 15 points.
The Lady Sages return to action Saturday, January 4 against Decatur St. Teresa.
