The Clinton Maroons will take on the Monticello Sages in non-conference high school boys basketball action from Miller Gym tonight at Monticlelo High School.

Monticello is coming off a stretch with falling short to two state-ranked opponents but beat state-runner up Cissna Park in overtime Saturday afternoon at the St. Joe Christie Clinic Shootout. The Sages 8-6 overall on the season.

The Maroons on the other hand, are in the midst of a six-game losing streak, their latest defeat at the hands of Tuscola Friday night at Clinton High School. The last time Clinton beat Monticello was in 2011 when now-Maroa-Forsyth basketball coach Aaron Ennis made a buzzer-beating jumper in double-overtime. 

Clinton is 4-10 on the season.
