Monticello Rolls Notre Dame LaSalette

Zero players scored in double figures during an incredibly balanced night for Monticello as they rolled Georgetown Notre Dame LaSalette Academy 48-21 in non-conference boys basketball action Tuesday night from Olivet.

 

The Sages saw nine players score between two and eight points and six players logged 15-plus minutes in wearing down the Lions. Monticello opened up and 11-2 lead early but the Lions clawed back to 11-9 in the second quarter following a Henry Kracht layup at the 5:57 mark.

 

Monticello closed out the half on a 14-2 run opening up a 25-11 halftime lead and took their biggest lead when Ben Cresap made back-to-back layups to finish the night's scoring at 48-21.

 

Briggs Fultz and Garrett Kepley scored eight points each to lead Monticello. Dylan Ginalick scored seven points, Nick Vogelzang, Ryan Reeder and Cresap each added six points. 

 

Manny Garcia Camilo scored a game-high ten points and grabbed five rebounds. 

 

Monticello shot 60-percent with 17 of their 19 field goals made in the paint and dished out 14 assists on their 19 field goals made. 

 

Monticello is 10-7 overall and LaSalette is 6-11.
