Garrett Kepley scored 17 of his game-high 24 points to lead Monticello past Tolono Unity 55-39 in Illini Prairie Conference boys basketball action Tuesday night. 

The win is the fifth straight for the Sages. Kepley scored 15 of Monticello’s 15 of 23 points in the third quarter as Monticello flipped a one-point halftime lead into a 44-34 lead after three.

Briggs Fultz scored ten points for Monticello.

Blake Kimball scored 14 of his 19 points in the first half to keep Unity close in the first half. Karcon Ewarks scored nine points and Jared Routh scored eight points.

Unity is 5-21 overall and 1-7 in conference play. The Sages improve to 17-11 overall and are 4-4 in the Illini Prairie.
