As heard on 95.9 FM WEZ and at dewittdailynews.com Saturday evening, Ben Cresap scored 21 points and had four steals leading Monticello in a 56-35 win over Paxton-Buckley-Loda in non-conference boys basketball action.

Jake Edmondson added ten points with five steals as Monticello scored 27 points on 26 turnovers. 

The Sages scored 40 points in the paint and shot 62.5-percent from the floor. 

Trevor Fox, Dylan Ginalick, and Andrew Rudolph scored six points apiece. 

The Sages are 1-0 on the pandemic altered season while PBL is 0-1. 

Monticello travels to Olympia for an Illini Prairie Conference matchup.
