Blues, Kings Postponed Over Travel Concerns

The Blues did not play the Kings on Monday after the game was postponed due to travel concerns for the Kings, NHL Public Relations reports.

The Kings played in Colorado on Sunday night, and the Denver area received several feet of snow over the weekend. In turn, the Kings are unable to travel back to Los Angeles on short notice to play the Blues. This game will be rescheduled. For now, the Blues are still scheduled to face the Kings on Wednesday.

Tyler Bozak (upper body) skated with the team Monday and will play in Wednesday's game against the Kings, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.

Bozak will be activated from long-term injured reserve before Wednesday's contest. The 34-year-old hasn't played since Jan. 26, when he suffered an upper-body injury as a result of a high hit from Golden Knights forward Mark Stone. Bozak should center the third line upon return, and he'll provide an immediate boost to the team's penalty kill.

Jaden Schwartz (lower body) skated with the team Monday and is getting close to a return, Jim Thomas of The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Head coach Craig Berube says Schwartz is getting close, and he should draw into the lineup at some point on the five-game road trip.

Berube added Monday Colton Parayko (back) has yet to start skating but is making progress, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.

Parayko will remain on injured reserve for the time being. It sounds like he's making concrete steps toward a return to the lineup, but he'll need to take the ice before a definitive timeline is provided. Justin Faulk and Torey Krug will continue to man the top defensive pairing until Parayko returns.

Robert Thomas (thumb) skated on his own after Monday's practice, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.

Berube notes Thomas is making good progress, and he could join the team for practice Tuesday.

The 21-year-old isn't expected to return for at least a couple more weeks. However, this is an encouraging sign that he'll be at full speed at that time. Prior to breaking his thumb, Thomas put up a goal and five assists across 12 games.
