Mt. Pulaski Rolls Tri-City

Sophomore Evan Cooper reached base four times, drove in three runs and pitched three one-hit innings leading Mt. Pulaski to a 15-0, three-inning win over Tri-City in non-conference high school baseball action on Tuesday on the road.

 

Cooper finished 2-for-2 with two singles, three runs batted in, scored twice and walked twice. Cooper also finished with three scoreless innings on the mound allowing just two base runners on a double and a hit batsman. He struck out eight picking up the win. 

 

Grant Davis finished 3-for-4 with four runs batted in and scored twice. Gavin Smith finished 2-for-3 with two runs scored, Landon Smith drove in two and scored twice finishing 2-for-2. AJ Bailey scored twice and drove in a run for the Hilltoppers. Drew Martin, Garrett Fitzpatrick, and Clay Aylesworth drove in a run as well.

 

The Hilltoppers welcome Warrensburg-Latham to town this afternoon - weather permitting. They'll host Hartsburg-Emden on Thursday.
