Meridian Ten-Run's Clinton

The Meridian Hawks ran past the Clinton Maroons in five innings 11-0 in Central Illinois Conference boys baseball matchup at Meridian.

 

Clinton's Josh Carter allowed six runs, but only two were earned as the Maroons defense committed five errors. Carter struck out two, walked three, and allowed two hits. Jaxon White finished the final 2/3 of an inning allowing five unearned runs and two hits with two walks.

 

Mitchel Ripple pitched five perfect innings for the Hawks with six strikeouts to no walks. 

 

Roy Ralston, Alexander Boehm, and Dillon Patterson each hit doubles for Meridian. Boehm drove in three runs and Patterson drove in two.

 

The Maroons are 0-1 while Meridian improves to 1-2. 

 

Clinton will host Meridian Thursday afternoon in the home-and-home format for CIC play in the 2021 baseball season.
