Central A&M Tops Clinton in Boy's Baseball Action

As heard on WHOW, the Clinton Maroons fell to the Central A&M Raiders by a score of 13-6 on Wednesday night in Central Illinois Conference boy's baseball action from Clinton High School. 

 

The Maroons were led by the B-Roc Designs Player of the Game, Freshman Mason Walker. Walker was 3 for 4 with a run scored. He pitched 2 innings and gave up 5 runs on 3 hits while walking 4 and striking out 4. Junior Dominic Fair took the loss on the mound. Fair allowed 8 runs in 4 innings on 6 hits but struck out 8. Brooks Cluver had 2 RBIs and Jaxson White was 2 for 2 with 3 runs scored.

 

The Raiders were led by Freshman Gavin Houchins. Houchins took the win on the mound, he pitched 4 plus innings, gave up 3 runs on 4 hits, struck out 5. At the plate, he was 2 for 4 with 3 runs batted in.

With the loss, the Maroons fall to 0-3 overall. The Raiders improve to 1-2 overall.

 

The Maroons travel to Decatur to take on St. Teresa High School Friday afternoon
