Mt. Pulaski scored another 20 runs Friday afternoon to continue its dominance through the early season blasting Springfield Lutheran 20-2 Friday afternoon in Springfield.

Heartland Community College commit Drew Martin hit two home runs and drove in five runs. Gavin Smith drove in three runs with a double. AJ Bailey, Grant Davis, and Lucas Kuhlman drove in a pair of runs for the Hilltoppers. Kuhlman and Garrett Fitzpatrick doubled. 

Evan Cooper pitched three innings of one run, unearned ball. Cooper struck out five and walked none.

Smith struggled through an inning of hitless ball but walked four and struck out three, allowing a run. Luke Farris pitched an inning of shutout ball with a walk and two strikeouts.

Mt. Pulaski improves to 8-0 and will travel to Athens Monday.
