Clinton Powers Past Decatur St. Teresa in Boy's Baseball Action

The Clinton Maroons powered past Decatur St. Teresa 14-8 in Central Illinois Conference boy’s baseball action Friday afternoon in Decatur. 

 

Dominick Thayer finished 2-for-5 with four RBIs. Josh Carter doubled and drove in two. Zeke Hickman finished 2-for-4.

 

Jaxson White went three innings on the mound for Clinton allowing five runs, only two were earned, on two hits with six walks and three strikeouts. Brooks Cluver pitched four innings of relief for th win allowing three runs, two were earned. He also walked six and struck out five and permitted four hits.

 

Chord Miller finished 3-for-5 with two RBIs for the Bulldogs.

 

The Maroons improved to 1-3 overall and 1-3 in the CIC. They host Sullivan Monday.
