Evan Cooper threw seven solid innings and Drew Martin drove in a pair of runs as Mt. Pulaski downed Argenta-Oreana 4-1 in non-conference boy's baseball action Wednesday in Argenta.

Cooper allowed an unearned run and six hits. He issued a walk and struck out eight. Martin finished 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs and AJ Bailey finished 3-for-4 with two runs scored for the Hilltoppers.

Connor Durham was effective in six innings of work for A-O. Durham allowed four runs, two earned, on seven hits with three walks and struck out seven. 

Brock Lyerly and Brylan McHood each finished 2-for-3 for the Bombers. 

A-O drops to 1-7.

Landon Smith and Lucas Kuhlman had RBIs for the Hilltoppers who improve to 10-0. They'll travel to Peoria Heights Friday.
