Luke Teschke was effect over 5 1/3 innings and helped lead Monticello past Rantoul 3-1 in Illini Prairie Conference boy's baseball action Tuesday from Rantoul.

Teschke allowed a run, four hits and struck out 11. Jack Buckalew finished the final 1 2/3 of perfect ball with four strikeouts. 

Joey Sprinkle reached base twice via the walk for Monticello and Tristan Foran drove in a run to lead the Sages. 

Monticello hosts Bloomington Central Catholic Thursday afternoon.
