Avery Place and Sydnee Evans combined for a one hit shut out as Blue Ridge raced out to an early lead and never looked back in a 15-0, 4-inning win over Cerro Gordo-Bement Wednesday in Lincoln Prairie girl's softball action from Farmer City.

The Lady Knights jumped out quickly soring nine runs in the first inning. 

Avery Place was 2-for-3 with five RBIs, Ashlyn Voyles added two hits and two RBIs. Farrah Michaels added two hits and an RBI, and Cassie Zimmerman drove in two runs. 

The Lady Knights are 8-3 overall and will host Donovan Friday afternoon.
