Mt. Pulaski Continues Strong Play, Wins Big Over Rival Midwest Central

The Mt. Pulaski Hilltoppers boy's baseball team continued its strong play with a 15-4, five-inning win over Tomahawk Conference rival Midwest Central Monday in Manito.

 

AJ Bailey set the table with four walks at the top of the Mt. Pulaski order and scored three times. Grant Davis doubled twice in a 3-for-4 afternoon with a pair of RBIs. Evan Cooper finished 3-for-5 with three runs batted in. Gavin Smith, Jackson Fricke and Garrett Fitzpatrick doubled as each Mt. Pulaski starter reached base. 

 

Bailey, Drew Martin, Landon Smith, Gavin Smith and Fitzpatrick each had an RBI.

 

Cooper went five innings for the win. He allowed three runs on seven hits with a walk and eight strikeouts. 

 

The Hilltoppers are 14-0 and will host Judah Christian this afternoon.
