Clinton High School Football Coach Powering Through Chaos to Prepare for Fall Season

In May Clinton High School hired Ron Bass to lead the high school football program.

Typically a window of adjustment that can span around six months, Coach Bass is cramming all of that into a brief three-month window. He calls it a whirlwind but is adjusting and is excited to get to work with the student-athletes of Clinton.

Coach Bass comes to Clinton High School by way of Tri-Valley High School. He tells Regional Radio News he is a central Illinois guy through-and-through attending high school in the Bloomington/Normal area and played college football in southern Illinois before returning to central Illinois to coach.

Coach Bass joined the voice of the Clinton Maroons Jared White on the WHOW Morning Show Monday. We'll hear more from Coach Bass throughout the week in sports on Regional Radio.
