Maroons Fall to Hawks

As heard on WHOW, the Clinton Maroons fell to the Meridian Hawks by a score of 18-7 on Friday night. Senior quarterback Ethan Boyer was 4 of 15 passing for 40 yards and 2 interceptions. He had 14 carries for 87 yards and a touchdown. The Maroons' defense was led by the DeWitt/Piatt SerPro Player of the Game Trevor Willis.

 

The Hawks were led by senior quarterback Drew Hurelbrink who was 10 of 19 passing for 114 yards. Hurelbrink had 13 carries for 131 yards and a touchdown.

 

With the loss, the Maroons fall to 1-7 on the season. Meridian improves to 5-3 overall and is playoff eligible.
