Eastern Illinois Wraps Up Regular Season Hosting Murray State

Eastern Illinois hosts Murray State for the Panthers final game of the 2021 season.

 

The Panthers are coming off a bye week following a 42-26 loss at Austin Peay on Nov. 6 in the final road game of the year.   EIU enters at 1-9 overall, 1-4 in the OVC.  

 

Murray State has won two straight as the Racers enter at 5-5, 2-3 in the OVC.  The preseason OVC favorite, Murray State is looking to lock up a second straight winning season.

 

Isaiah Hill turned in his second straight standout performance at Austin Peay as he caught ten passes for 140 yards and a touchdown.   Hill had caught 11 passes for 207 yards in the previous game at Southeast Missouri.  In just four games played this season after returning from injury, Hill is already the Panthers leading receiver with 26 receptions and 383 yards.  

 

Defensive back Tyris Harvey had his first career interception against Austin Peay as the second year player picked off a pass in the first quarter and returned it 29 yards for a touchdown.
