Monticello pulled away late from Olympia for a 51-43 win in Illini Prairie Conference girl's basketball from the Sievers Center at Monticello High School Monday night.

The Lady Sages and Lady Spartans went back-and-forth in the second but Monticello made free throws and plays down the stretch. Lizzie Stiverson finished 7-for-8 in the second half and led the Lady Sages with 19 points. 

Renni Fultz scored seven of her nine points in the fourth quarter to help the Lady Sages create separation. 

Macey Hicks and Megan Allen scored six apiece for the Lady Sages.

Taylor Newaskie led all scorers with 21 points for the Lady Spartans.

Monticello improves to 13-7 overall and picks up its first Illini Prairie Conference win to go to 1-2. 

Olympia drops to 11-7 overall and 0-2 in the Illini Prairie.
