Clinton Maroons Down Redskins On The Road

In a game heard on WHOW Friday night, the Clinton Maroons traveled to Sullivan, and downed the Redskins, 56-44. 
 

The Maroons jumped out to a 14-4 lead after the first quarter, and maintained the advantage throughout.  Clinton led by 12 at the half, and the two teams both scored 29 points in the second half.  
 

The Maroons were led by the WHOW/Serv-Pro of Piatt/Dewitt County Player of the Game - Dawson Graves.  In his second game back from a several week absence due to injury, the sophomore led all scorers with 26 points.  Mason Walker added 15; Brooks Cluver scored 7; and Brett Young added 6 in the win. 
 

Sullivan was led by Kyle Corkill with 10 points, and Trey McRill with 7. 
 

Clinton improves to 9-15 overall, and 2-2 in the CIC.  They next play Tuesday at Mt. Pulaski. Sullivan falls to 1-17 overall, and 0-4 in conference. They next host Pana on Tuesday.
