Lincoln Lady Railersplitters Up to No. 8 in This Week's 3A Poll

The Lincoln Lady Railsplitters continue a fantastic season moving up to No. 8 the latest girl's basketball Class 3A state rankings released Wednesday afternoon.

 

The Lady Railers were up from No. 9 last week while Metamora moved up to No. 9 from tenth last week. Montini and Bethalto Civic Memorial are back in this week's rankings tied at No. 10. 

 

Geneseo remains No. 1 with four first-place votes followed by Peoria Notre Dame who moved up a spot with two first place votes. Peoria Central moved up a spot to No. 3 witha first place vote. Nazareth and Sycamore round out the top five in the latest girl's 3A poll. 

 

Morton dropped to No. 6 while Mattoon remained No. 7 in this week's poll.

 

In Class 1A, the top four remained unchanged with Okawville at No. 1 with six first-place votes followed by Brimfield who received three first-place votes and Tri-County, Mendon Unity and River Ridge round out the top 5.

 

Brown County and Galena moved up a spot each to No. 6-7, respectively. Orangeville enters the poll at tying with Sarena for No. 8 and Cowden-Herrick checks in at No. 10 this week. 

 

In Class 2A, the top six remain unchanged this week with Quincy Notre Dame at the top spot with seven first place votes, followed by Winnebago at No. 2 with three first place votes then Illini West, Pana, and Paris round out the top five and Carterville is No. 6 this week, the same order as last week. 

 

Chiacgo Noble Street-Butler moved up from No. 9 to No. 7 this week. Fieldcrest comes in at No. 8 then Teutopolis at No. 9 and Peotone enters the rankings at No. 10.

 

In Class 4A, Chicago Stevenson is the unanimous No. 1 and Normal Community received votes in this week's poll but did not crack the top 10.
