The postseason is meant to challenge the best of the best and the Clinton Lady Maroons Regional will do just that as they kick off high school girl's basketball postseason action tonight.
The 26-5 Lady Maroons open the postseason tonight at their own Regional hosting Warrensburg-Latham. Tonight's matchup with the Lady Cardinals will be the third in less than a month.
Clinton beat Warrensburg-Latham 47-23 on January 25 at the Central Illinois Conference tournament in Tuscola. Then last Thursday night they toppled the Lady Cardinals again 51-35.
Warrensburg-Latham rolled Tri-Valley Saturday in Regional quarterfinal action 63-31 to make tonight's Regional semifinal round.
Tonight's winner takes on the winner of tonight's 6 pm matchup between second-seeded Paris and Sangamon Valley.
Both games are Clinton High School. The Regional final is Thursday at 7 pm.
