Lincoln Girl's Basketball Team Falls Out of Latest 3A Poll; Clinton Lady Maroons Receive Votes

The Lincoln Lady Railsplitters girl's basketball team will go for a Regional title this week but it wasn't enough to keep them in the latest Class 3A high school girl's basketball state rankings.

 

With the postseason underway, the Lady Railers have fallen out of the latest 3A poll. Nazareth and Geneseo swapped spots at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively. Peoria Central stayed at No. 3 while Peoria Notre Dame and Sycamore swapped places at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.

 

Matoon, Morton, Washington, Montini, and Mahomet-Seymour round out the top 10.

 

In the latest 2A rankings, Winnebago, Pana, Quincy Notre Dame, Illini West and Chicago Noble Stree Butler are the top 5 teams. 

 

Fieldcrest and Paris tied for sixth, Peotone is No. 8 and Carterville and Teutopolis round out the top 10. The Clinton Lady Maroons received votes in this week's poll.

 

In Class 1A, Brimfield is the No. 1 team followed by Okawville, Tri-County, Galena, and Brown County in the top 5.

 

In Class 4A, Chicago Stevenson is the top team followed by Benet Academy, Edwardsville, Loyola Academy and Barrington in the top 5.
