The Monticello Sages boy's basketball team opens postseason play tonight at the GCMS Regional taking on Paxton-Buckley-Loda.

 

The Sages finished the regular season 27-3 overall and won the Illini Prairie Conference title with a 9-1 conference mark. The only blemish in conference action was a road loss at Prairie Central, who is the fourth seed in the Clifton Central sub-sectional. 

 

Monticello toppled PBL 59-43 back on January 21 at the Sievers Center at Monticello High School. The Panthers rolled Clifton Central 59-35 Saturday in Regional quarterfinal action. 

 

The winner of tonight's semifinal game takes on the winner of the second semifinal matchup tonight between Prairie Central and Iroquois West.
