The Monticello Sages boy's basketball team will go for a Class 2A Regional title tonight when they take on Prairie Central from the GCMS Regional.

 

Monticello beat PBL for a second time this season, 53-30 Wednesday night to advance to tonight's Regional championship game. The Hawks edged Iroquois West 53-48 Wednesday to advance.

 

At 28-3, the Sages have won eight straight, and their last defeat came at the hands of Prairie Central on Tuesday, January 25 at Fairbury, a 65-61 loss.

 

Monticello will be looking to avenge that loss tonight and advance to the Clifton Central Sectional next week.
