Illinois State bowed out of the Missouri Valley Conference tournament on Friday after falling to Northern Iowa 78-65. The final buzzer may have sounded at the Enterprise Center on the Redbirds season, but the University was still hard at work finding it's next head coach. An hour after ISU's season culminated, Ryan Pedon(pee-den) was announced as the next head coach of the men's basketball program. A current assistant for the Ohio State Buckeyes, Pedon laid out his plan for Redbird basketball's future.
Pedon(Pee-den) has 21 years of experience coaching basketball, and this is his first stop as a head coach. Pedon contract lasts for 5 seasons, earning $550,000 annual.
