Baseball and softball teams have had enormous challenges finding good enough conditions to get games in this spring.

This week, those windows are going to be limited once again. Monday was terrific weather for sports in central Illinois but Ed Shimon at the National Weather Service in Lincoln indicates a couple of wet weather systems will be rolling through the state this week.

Shimon indicates once we get past the below normal temperatures later this week, temperatures should normalize for this time of the year but there's a strong signal for above-normal precipitation the rest of the month.
