Clinton High School has made a substantial splash for its head boy's basketball coaching vacancy.

The school announced Thursday afternoon that Vic Binkley comes to Clinton schools from Warrensburg-Latham High School. Athletic Director Matt Koeppel says everyone knows Vic Binkley the basketball coach but in meeting with him, Koeppel wanted to know Coach Binkley the person.

Koeppel says Coach Binkley inherits a young team that will return all of last year's starters and picked up some big wins at the end of last year.

In 33 years at Warrensburg-Latham, Binkley compiled a 583-351 record with 15 regional titles and two state tournament appearances.
