HS Softball: St. T Rallies Past Clinton

The Decatur St. Teresa Lady Bulldogs scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning capping off six unanswered runs as they rallied past Clinton 9-7 in Central Illinois Conference high school girl's softball action Monday from Decatur. 

 

With Clinton up 1-0, the Lady Maroons and Lady Bulldogs traded runs in the second inning and then two runs in the third inning before Clinton went upt 7-3 heading to the last of the fifth.

 

But St. T scored four runs in the fifth to tie the game at 7 and then added two go-ahead runs in the sixth. 

 

Heidi Humble paced the Lady Maroons offense going 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases. Kianna Easton finished 2-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base while Ariana Humes finished 2-for-3 with a pair of runs scored and a walk.

 

Clinton falls to 2-13 overall and 1-8 in the CIC. They travel to Argenta this afternoon to battle Argenta-Oreana.
