Tri-City Edges Mt. Pulaski

Tri-City held off Mt. Pulaski 2-1 in a non-conference win in high school boy's baseball action from Mt. Pulaski Monday afternoon.

 

Mt. Pulaski's Logan Smith and Tri-City's Landen Patton dueled through six innings. Patton struck out 13 pitching into the seventh inning and Alex Budd got the final out to secure the win for the Tornadoes. 

 

Smith struck out ten, walked one and allowed six hits in six innings of two-run ball for the Hilltoppers. 

 

AJ Bailey finished 2-for-4 for Mt. Pulaski. 

 

Tri-City moves to 10-6 overall while Mt. Pulaski drops to 18-4.

 

In the final week of the regular season, the Hilltoppers travel to Havana Wednesday, host El Paso-Gridley Thursday, travel to Bloomington Cornerstone Christian Acadamy Friday and wrap up the regular season Saturday at New Berlin.
