The Shelbyville Rams put up seven runs in the second and third innings and took home a 15-run rule 16-1, three-inning win on Monday from Shelbyville in Central Illinois Conference high school boy's baseball action.

Wes Harrold drove in the only Maroons run with a double and Caiden Rich had a double for Clinton.

The Maroons drop to 5-7 overall and are 5-6 in the CIC. The Maroons will host Tuscola this afternoon. Hear the action on The Big 1520 AM/92.3/106.5 FM WHOW as well as WHOWs digital platforms.

It's a busy week for the Maroons who will be trying to make up for rained-out conference games this week. After this afternoon's matchup with Tuscola, they travel to Meridian Wednesday and then host Warrensburg-Latham on Friday.
