GCMS Football Looking to Create Positivity

The 12 months have been very difficult for the GCMS community and its football program is hoping to be a source of some positivity this fall.

First Coach Chad Augspurger takes over the very successful Mike Allen who stepped aside after last year's season and Coach Augspurger says it's been a difficult last 12 months in Gibson City and his football team is hoping to be a source of some positivity for the community.

Coach Allen led the GCMS program to a lot of success in his tenure and Coach Augspurger says while some things will change, he is focused on making sure the culture of the program stays the same.

The 2021 fall season was a frustrating one for the Falcons as they entered the year with high expectations but ultimately injuries derailed a lot of the things they could have accomplished. Coach Augspurger says this year they are going to have to establish themselves up front on the offensive line.

The Falcons will open the season at Fieldcrest.
