Clinton Falls to LIncoln in Season Opener

In a game heard on WHOW, the Clinton Maroons fell to the Lincoln Railsplitters by a score of 28-0 on Friday night. Tristin Potts led the Maroons with 19 carries for 64 yards. Quarterback Mason Walker was 10 of 24 passing for 110 yards and 3 interceptions. He also had 12 carries for 88 yards. Khanton Wilson ran the ball 4 times for 50 yards and had 3 catches for 20 yards. The Maroons Player of the Game Logan Thoms led the defense with a fourth quarter fumble recovery and multiple tackles.

 

Kion Carson led the Railsplitters with 12 carries for 100 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also had 1 catch for 64 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Darren Stevens went 3 of 6 passing for 98 yards and a touchdown. Isaac Decker had 10 carries for 98 yards, and Payton Bunner had 13 carries for 54 yards.

 

With the loss, the Maroons drop to 0-1 and the Railsplitters improve to 1-0.
