Gracie Shaffer broke the Blue Ridge High School career assist record Wednesday night leading the Lady Knights to a  25-13 and 25-15 two-set victory over Normal U-High in non-conference high school girl's volleyball action from Farmer City.

Shaffer's 16 assists broke the career assist record at BRHS of 1,527 that was previously held by Emily Zelhart, set in 2014. Shaffer added ten digs. 

Phoebe Reynolds added 8 kills and Cassie Zimmerman posted 3 aces. 

The Lady Knights improve to 7-2 overall.
