Eastern Illinois won its second consecutive game on Saturday as the Panthers won back-to-back games for the first time since the 2017 season when EIU had four straight wins. 

The win moved EIU to 2-3 on the season as they play three of four games in the month of October at home at O'Brien Field.  EIU faces OVC newcomer Lindenwood this weekend but the game will be counted as a non-conference game for both schools due to a late schedule adjustment.  

After rushing for 339 yards in their last game at Murray State, the Panthers churned out even more yards in Saturday's win over Northwestern State finishing with 340 yards and four rushing touchdowns.
