After last Friday night's big victory over Paxton-Buckley-Loda, the Monticello Sages football team is looking for more this week when fifth-ranked Prairie Central comes to town for senior night.
Coach Cully Welter was pleased with the way his team came ready to play in the 41-26 victory. He says some games are about effort and wanting it more, and that was the case Friday night.
Prairie Central is traditionally a run-heavy offense and while that is the case this year, Coach Welter indicates they are adding a few more wrinkles to the equation this fall.
Coach Welter anticipates the Hawks to be basic in their defensive sets but be aggressive at the same time.
