Clinton Looking To Stay on Winning Ways Tonight Hosting Meridian

The Clinton Maroons will be looking for its first winning streak under second-year head coach Ron Bass tonight when they host the Meridian Hawks in Central Illinois Conference high school football action.

The Maroons picked up the first CIC victory in the Coach Bass era last Friday in a chippy victory over Warrensburg-Latham. Coach Bass was pleased with his team's composure during the game and then the way they were able to move the ball most of the night.

Coming off a playoff birth last season, the Hawks are led by a first year coach with roots to Maroa-Forsyth. Coach Bass says they offer a lot of athleticism and another good challenge for the Maroons.

Game time tonight is 7 pm. Hear the action on The Big 1520 AM/92.3 FM/106.5 FM WHOW and at the many WHOW digital platforms.
