Despite losing some very good golfers from last year's senior class, the Monticello Sages boy's golf team had another successful campaign. 

Maddux Quick was a sophomore golfer on the team this season and says despite losing All Sate golfer Tanner Buehnerkemper last year, the team worked hard in the offseason and came in ready to improve from last year's eighth place finish at state.

Quick says the young golfers on the team stepped to provide a lot of depth for the team this year and credits senior Will Ross for leading the team this season.

Quick adds one of the other strengths of the team this year was their ability to pick up a teammate that may have not had their best day. He felt they were pretty balanced all year.
