Maroons Looking to Continue To Build Momentum After Strong Week 8 Showing

The Clinton Maroons are on the first winning streak in the Ron Bass era at Clinton High School and with two conference victories in back-to-back weeks, the Maroons will look to keep rolling this Friday night at Sullivan.

Before that game though, Coach Bass says his team struggled at times on a wet night against Meridian, most disappointed in the inability to get the ball in the end zone at several junctures.

Coach Bass continues to be pleased with his front line and tailback Trisan Potts for running hard with the defense knowing what's coming, especially on a wet night like Friday.

Coach Bass preached to his team prior to the game Friday finishing the season strong. He says they'll have a chance to play spoiler Friday night when the Maroons visit Sullivan-Okaw Valley, who is 4-4 on the season and will be looking for that fifth win to be eligible for the postseason.
