The Bloomington Central Catholic Saints football program is back in the postseason in 2022 and its head coach is thrilled to be there with a senior group that started with him four years ago.

The accomplishment means all that much more for Coach Kevin Braucht because BCC is his alma mater. The fourth-year coach says it's great to have this team in the postseason because the seniors started with him four years ago.

Coach Braucht says getting BCC back to the playoffs means a lot to him because not only was the team 0-9 the year before he took over but it re-establishes the expectations from his time at the school when making the postseason wasn't just the expectation, it was making deep runs into November.

Bloomington ended up in 2A this year and will travel to Aledo for its first-round matchup Saturday afternoon at 2 pm.
