Young Central A&M Football Team Ready for Another Postseason Run

A young Central A&M football team is hoping its youth has come along enough to make a deep run in the high school football playoffs.

Coach Brent Weakly says with a lot of young players on offense, they have focused on getting kids with playmaking ability the football. Defensively, he's very proud of the way such a young group has played.

Postseason football teams have the added benefit of an extra week or more of practices and Coach Weakly believes that always helps not only the young varsity players but those younger JV players that get the callup for a postseason atmosphere.

The Raiders drew a 10-seed in the postseason. They will hit the road Saturday to take on Sesser-Vallier at 2 pm.
