Improvement in the physical strength of the team, better turnout for summer workouts, and going from one win to four wins is just a few of the highlights of a season of marked improvement from the Clinton High School varsity football team.

Coach Ron Bass says his team's week nine victory over Sullivan to overcome some adversity, play hard and win the game is what winning football programs do.

Coach Bass felt his team had a chance to be a playoff team this year but quadrupling its win total, he wants to see the kids use the momentum of the last third of the year to have a great offseason.

The Maroons will kick off the 2023 football season hosting Eureka and then in week two, they'll host Coach Bass' former team Tri-Valley where he was the defensive coordinator for many years.
