The Clinton High School Thanksgiving Turkey Tussle holiday girl's basketball tournament started up a few seasons ago and it is turning into a premier holiday tournament in central Illinois.

In its ninth year, Clinton High School Athletic Director Matt Koeppel says its a great way to bring in great competition for week of good girl's basketball.

Clinton has been a co-host of the tournament with Riverton. Koeppel explains they host half the field and then the crossover games all take place at Clinton High School on Saturday.

The Clinton Lady Maroons are back in action for the tournament tonight at 7 pm taking on Decatur St. Teresa. They'll finish pool play Thursday evening at 7 pm against Eureka. 

Olympia, Decatur St. Teresa and Eureka are in the Clinton High School pool while Riverton, PORTA, Mt. Pulaski and Dee-Mack are in the Riverton pool.
