Three players scored in double figures and Athens used a big third quarter to get by Clinton 47-33 in non-conference high school girl's basketball Tuesday night at Athens High School.

Nivarra Oredina scored 14 points to pace the Lady Warriors. Addison Stadsholt added 12 points and Zoe Laird added 11 points.

Clara Dempsey led Clinton with nine points. Regan Filkin scored seven for the Lady Maroons.

Clinton kept things closed through the first half - trailing 13-10 after the first and 21-16 at the intermission but the Lady Warriors stretched their lead to 36-21 after three and the Lady Maroons could not recover.

Clinton falls to 1-4 overall while Athens moves to 3-0.

Clinton is off until Monday when they host Tolono Unity.
