The Clinton Lady Maroons jumped on Sullivan early and cruised to a 49-34 Central Illinois Conference win in high school girl's basketball action Thursday from Clinton High School.

Freshman Avery Smith paced the Lady Maroons with 18 points. Regan Filkin chipped in with ten points. 

Clinton led 16-8 after the first quarter and took a 29-15 lead into the intermission.

Clara Dempsey and MaKayla Koeppel each added five points for Clinton.

The Lady Maroons are 3-4 overall and start 1-0 in the Central Illinois Confernece.

They will host Peoria Heights on Monday.
