Sage Geltmaker scored a game-high 17 points and IVC held off Monticello 36-23 in Illini Prairie Confernce high school girl's basketball action Saturday morning from the Sievers Center at Monticello High School.

A high-scoring first quarter was followed by a very slow final three quarters. The Lady Grey Ghosts led 20-12 after the first quarter but only led 28-18 at the break.

A total of seven points in the third quarter put IVC up 32-21 after three. 

Maia High led Monticello with 10 points. Megan Allen added six.

Mary Zerfass added eight points for the Lady Grey Ghosts while Gabi Kramer scored six points.

IVC moves to 5-4 overall while Monticello falls to 4-5.
